One of the coolest tools out there for twits is Twitter Search. Many people have probably heard about this site while others are unaware of its existence. If you belong to the latter, then you’ve been missing out on something extremely useful. If you belong to the former, then you probably have not been maximizing its potential.

- Find out what’s happening now – Go to the home page of Twitter Search and right below the search bar, you will find a list of trending topics. This refers to the keywords that are currently been tweeted the most right now. You can click on any of those keywords and find out why people are talking about that topic. This is generally more up to date than any Google search and even news sites. It’s not common for news to be reported first on Twitter before it is reported on big sites like CNN and BBC. There is no other medium that is more up to date than this.
- Get the loop on certain topics – Perhaps you want to know what’s the latest on a certain topic. You can find out by doing a search of that keyword and see what the latest tweets and links about that topic. You can search pretty much any topic. In the past, I’ve looked up sports updates, movie updates, technology updates, you name it. There are people out there who tweet on the topic worldwide all the time. You’ll never be behind with Twitter Search.
- Find targeted followers – If you are keen on building your group of followers, then you have no choice but to find people interested in what you are tweeting about. If you follow someone who is interested in what you’re interested in, then the chances of them following you back are much higher. Twitter Search is a great tool for finding such topic. You simply search for people tweeting a certain keyword and chances are that if they used that keyword in their tweets, then they are interested in that topic.
