Get More Twitter Followers

by Twit_Expert

If you want to Get More Twitter Followers, there is only one way to do it: follow people. As with any other type of social media, there is etiquette in the way we approach certain media. In Twitter, this is known as Twitiquette (a portmanteau of Twitter and etiquette). It basically goes like this: “If I follow you, you follow me back, and vice versa.” Nice gesture, isn’t it?

Yet many people are unaware of this, and therefore do not take advantage of it to get more followers. Those who do take advantage of this, tend to do it incorrectly and as a result, get their accounts suspended.

So how do you do this correctly? I’ll explain now.

Follow The Rules

Whatever you do in Twitter, you want to be following the rules. There is no ifs or buts. If you don’t, you will be suspended. And once Twitter suspends you, there’s no going back. I haven’t heard of any suspended account being restored unless it was caused by human error.

So what are the rules? You can find the Twitter Rules here.

If you are not too keen on reading through that, here’s a quick summary of the rules to follow when you want to Get More Twitter Followers:

  • Do not follow a large amount of people in a short period of time
  • Do not follow and unfollow in a short period of time
  • Do not constantly follow or unfollow people
  • Make sure you don’t have a small number of followers compared to the amount of people you are following

That’s all there is to it.

How To Do It Correctly

If you want to get more followers on Twitter without getting detected as a spammer and getting suspended, simply follow the rules I have mentioned above.

Here’s what I do to get a lot of followers without risking suspension.

I follow a maximum of 200 people at any given time. Then I wait another couple of hours and then I follow another 200 people. Then I don’t follow anymore until the next day. This gives people time to follow me back.

By the next day, the ratio between following and followers is not too high. Then I repeat the process again. 200 and then another 200 later in the day.

On the third day, I begin unfollowing (or purging) the people that have not followed me back from the first day. I then repeat the same process again.

This is what I do.

I believe it to be an effective yet low risk strategy for getting more followers. You may try something different such as following 300 people at a time. It’s just I feel more comfortable with my strategy.

You can increase the chances of people following you back by getting targeted followers, but I will explain this in another post later.

The most important thing to know is that if you want to Get More Twitter Followers successfully, you have to follow the rules.
